Anchor Launcher – Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Anchor Launcher (“the App”), operated by Anchor Launcher (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

2. Description of the Service

Anchor Launcher is a unified digital game management application that enables users to:

  • Aggregate and manage libraries from third-party platforms such as Valve Corporation (Steam), itch.io, and GOG sp. z o.o.
  • Launch and organize games associated with user accounts on those platforms
  • Access external content sources through integrated browsing and download utilities

Anchor Launcher does not sell, license, or distribute games or copyrighted content.

3. No Affiliation with Third Parties

Anchor Launcher is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any third-party platform, including Steam, itch.io, or GOG.

Your use of those services remains subject to their respective terms and policies.

4. User Accounts and Credentials

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your third-party account credentials
  • All activities conducted through your accounts
  • Ensuring that your use of connected services complies with their terms

We do not store or control third-party account systems.

5. Lawful Use

You agree to use the App only in compliance with applicable laws, including but not limited to copyright and intellectual property laws within the European Union and Hungary.

You must not:

  • Use the App to infringe copyright or related rights
  • Circumvent technological protection measures unlawfully
  • Access or distribute content without proper authorization

6. External Content and Downloads

The App may include tools that allow users to access, browse, or download content from external sources not operated or controlled by Anchor Launcher.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Anchor Launcher does not host, verify, or control external content
  • We do not monitor the legality, safety, or authenticity of such content
  • Any content you access or download is done solely at your own initiative and risk

You are solely responsible for ensuring that any content you access complies with applicable laws and licensing requirements.

7. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the App, including its software, design, and branding, are owned by Anchor Launcher or its licensors.

All third-party trademarks, service marks, and content remain the property of their respective owners.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted under applicable law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

We do not warrant that:

  • The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • The App will remain compatible with third-party services
  • External content accessed through the App is lawful, safe, or reliable

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Anchor Launcher shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of data, revenue, or access to third-party accounts
  • Any legal consequences arising from your use of the App

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion is not permitted under applicable law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Anchor Launcher from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the App
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your infringement of any intellectual property or other rights

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms or if required by law.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be made available within the App or on our website.

Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hungary and applicable European Union law.

Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hungary.
